Plain-English summary
Swimwear Anywhere is recalling Little Marc Jacobs girls' hooded pull-over swimwear cover-up jackets due to a strangulation hazard. The jackets feature a drawstring around the neck area, which can become entangled or caught on playground slides, handrails, school bus doors, or other moving objects, posing a significant risk to children. No injuries have been reported.
The recalled jackets are made of 100% cotton and are navy with red flowers and teal leaves, featuring a teal bunny appliqué and two buttons on the front. They were sold in girls' sizes 2 through 12. The specific style number is LM28616, and Lot #1 and the size are printed on the black sewn-in label at the center back of the jackets. About 210 units were sold.
These jackets were sold at Swimwear Anywhere Outlet, children's boutiques, and other specialty retail stores nationwide, as well as online at www.swimwearanywhere.com, from January 2014 through July 2014 for about $89. The jackets were manufactured in India.
Consumers should immediately take the jackets away from children. To eliminate the hazard, consumers can remove the drawstring from the jacket or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
