The recall involves approximately 155,000 units sold by Amazon.com, Buy Buy Baby, Diapers.com, and Toys R Us/Babies R Us. The products are portable infant recliners designed for sleeping, resting, and playing, featuring a bucket seat shaped foam base and a fitted fabric cover with a three-point harness.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued the recall because the recliners contain defects in their design, warnings, and instructions, which pose a substantial risk of injury and death to infants. CPSC is aware of five infant deaths associated with the product, including one in a Chill model. Additionally, there have been 22 reports of infants hanging or falling out over the side of the Nap Nanny, and 70 reports of children nearly falling out of the product.
