Paslode Tall Red Fuel Cells Recalled for Fire Hazard

Paslode, of Vernon Hills, Ill., is recalling approximately 86,000 "Tall Red" fuel cells designed for use in Paslode cordless framing nailers. The recall is due to a fire hazard caused by the fuel cells leaking fuel.

The recalled fuel cells have part number 81600 printed in the upper right hand corner of the packaging. They were sold at construction supply and home center stores and by construction supply dealers nationwide from February 2008 through April 2008 for between $11 and $14. The specific Best-Use-Before Dates on the fuel cells are 09 AUG 2009, 10 AUG 2009, and 11 AUG 2009. The Manufactured Dates on the outside of the master cartons are 11 FEB 2008, 12 FEB 2008, and 13 FEB 2008.

No injuries have been reported. Consumers should immediately stop using the fuel cells and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund or credit.
