KTM Recalls Off-Road Motorcycles Due to Fuel Tank Seal Leak

These vehicles were sold at KTM dealers nationwide from November 2004 through April 2007 for prices between $5,400 and $7,800.
The recall is being conducted because the seal around the fuel tank can loosen, allowing fuel to leak. This leak poses a fire hazard to consumers. KTM has received 5,114 reports of leaking fuel tanks. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has received one report of a minor chemical burn resulting from fuel coming into contact with a consumer's skin.
Consumers should stop using these vehicles immediately and contact their local KTM dealer to schedule an appointment for a free repair. KTM is sending direct notices to consumers with the recalled vehicles.
