The recall addresses a defect where the tie rod can separate due to wear or severe impact during operation. This separation causes the front wheel to detach from the steering control, which can lead the rider to lose control of the ATV. Kawasaki has received about 140 reports of tie rod problems, which resulted in four reported injuries. The hazard is described as capable of causing serious injury or death to the rider.
