The affected products are the 2005 model year R2.5 model bicycles and frames with serial numbers higher than R251700. The model and serial numbers are printed on the bicycle frame tubes. The frames feature a clear coating over carbon fiber with either red and white or blue and white "Cervélo" decals on the down tube, seat tube, and head tube.

These bicycles and frame sets were sold by authorized Cervélo retailers nationwide from December 2004 through May 2005. Prices ranged from about $2,200 for the frame set to between $3,100 and $3,900 for the complete bicycle, depending on components. Consumers should stop using these bicycles and contact Cervélo to receive a free replacement frame.
