The company has received 12 reports of incidents involving leaks from the soldering. One student reported receiving a minor burn to the hand. The burners were sold by education supply dealers, including Home Training Tools Ltd., via catalog mail order or web retailers from November 2004 through October 2005 for about $5. The product is identified by item number 97-5320 printed on the packaging.
Consumers should stop using the recalled metal alcohol burners immediately. They should return the products to the place of purchase for a replacement or refund.
