CPSC Recalls Vapor-Eze Waterless Vaporizers and Aromatherapy Diffusers

There have been 25 reported incidents involving these products, including at least six fires and two reports of burn injuries. In one incident, a young child was hospitalized with burns to the face and hands and smoke inhalation. In another, a consumer suffered a burned foot.

Consumers should stop using the recalled products immediately. The products were sold at discount department and drug stores, including Wal-Mart, from June 2005 through September 2005 for about $20. Consumers who purchased the items at Wal-Mart should contact Wal-Mart at (800) 925-6278 or visit www.Walmart.com for a full refund. Those who purchased the products elsewhere should contact the retailer or the CPSC Hotline at (800) 638-2772.
