Plain-English summary

S.I.T. Inc. is recalling approximately 80,000 "Cometa" green and white plastic stack chairs. The chairs can collapse during use, which may cause consumers to suffer injuries from falls. S.I.T. has received two reports of the chairs collapsing, but no injuries have been reported.

The recalled chairs were sold nationwide at drug stores from April 2000 through September 2002 for between $4 and $6. The chairs are identified by UPC numbers 0-82294-319754 (white) and 0-82294-319785 (green) on a label on the front of the chair. The label also states "Made in Italy" and "Not Recommended for Use on Polished or Smooth Surfaces."
