The helmets were sold at retail outlets, chains, and catalogs nationwide from October 2000 through May 2001 for about $40. Consumers should stop using these helmets immediately and return them to the stores where purchased for a full refund. Consumers can also call World Industries toll-free at (888) 338-4562 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. PT Monday through Friday.
