The affected products include cases of fresh beef stew meat intended for HEB grocery store re-packaging, as well as re-packaged beef stew meat trays and HEB brand beef stew items. These products were produced on December 13, 2017, and shipped to HEB retail stores in Texas. The issue was discovered on December 24, 2017, when HEB opened boxes containing the multi-vac packages. HEB subsequently locked the sales of all stew meat from their registers and pulled all products from shelves in all stores.
