The recall was initiated after a component of the product tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes. The products bear establishment number P-9815 and were shipped to distributors in Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington D.C. There have been no confirmed reports of illness or adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them and should throw them away or return them to the place of purchase. Listeria monocytogenes can cause listeriosis, a serious infection that primarily affects older adults, persons with weakened immune systems, and pregnant women.
