Plain-English summary

Clemens Food Group, a Hatfield, Pennsylvania establishment, is recalling approximately 42 pounds of uncooked pork rib products. The recall is due to misbranding and the presence of an undeclared allergen, specifically peanut, which is not listed on the product label.

The affected products are Hatfield Smokey Chipotle Dry Rub Seasoned St. Louis Style Ribs. The recall involves two 20-lb. cases with code #4109, containing 6 individually wrapped packages with code 354. These products bear the establishment number EST. 791 inside the USDA mark of inspection and were produced on December 20, 2014. One case was shipped internally to the Clemens Food Group Employee Store, while the other was shipped to one of seven possible retail locations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

The issue was identified after the company's spice supplier notified Clemens Food Group that the cumin in a spice mix used to formulate the products may have been contaminated with peanut.
