Mack Trucks, Inc. is recalling certain 2010-2016 Granite (GU) trucks. The recall addresses vehicles that were previously remedied under Recall 15V804 (SC0398), where incorrect parts may have been installed during subsequent repairs. This error can cause a brake imbalance between the steer and drive axle brakes and the rear brakes, leading to overheating.

Overheated brakes may cause a tire blowout or fire, which increases the risk of a crash. Owners who received a remedy under the previous recall must have the new remedy completed.

Dealers will inspect and replace the brake chambers as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed on April 14, 2026. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0491. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning December 22, 2025.
