Plain-English summary
Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2024 Aurora and Catalina travel trailers. The recall involves the ACAT18RDL and AART18RD models. The defect involves the furnace potentially being installed directly on top of vinyl linoleum flooring, which can allow the floor to overheat.
Overheated vinyl linoleum flooring increases the risk of a fire. All affected vehicles are currently in dealer inventory, so no owner notification letters will be mailed. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-825-4995 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
Dealers will install a panel between the furnace and the linoleum free of charge to correct the issue.
