Plain-English summary

Chinook Motor Coach, LLC is recalling certain 2020-2024 Bayside motorhomes equipped with specific Cummins Onan QG 2800i or Onan QG 2800i EVAP generator sets. The recall addresses a defect in the fuel hose located between the inline fuel filter and the Injection Pump Module (IPM).

The fuel hose may have inadequate clamp force, which can result in a gasoline leak. A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

Owners should contact Chinook customer service at 1-574-584-3756 or their local Cummins dealer to have the fuel hose and clamps inspected and replaced free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 11, 2023. Owners may also contact the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
