Great Dane Recalls 2022 Trailers Due to Wheel Hub Lubrication Defect

Great Dane Trailers is recalling certain 2022 Champion dry van and Everest refrigerated trailers. The recall addresses a defect where the wheel hubs may have an insufficient amount of lubrication.

This lack of lubrication could cause the hub bearings to fail. If the hub bearings fail, the wheel hub assembly could detach, leading to a loss of stability and control. This creates a road hazard and increases the risk of a crash.

Great Dane will work with SAF Holland, the wheel hub supplier, to inspect the wheel hubs and add the proper amount of lubricant as necessary, free of charge.
