2020 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Braking System Defect Increases Crash Risk
Chrysler is recalling the 2020 Alfa Romeo Stelvio due to a defect in the anti-lock braking system. Hard braking can cause the ABS hydraulic control unit rotor shaft to separate, reducing braking performance and increasing crash risk.

The defect involves the anti-lock brake system (ABS) hydraulic control unit (HCU). Under hard braking conditions, the rotor shaft in the HCU can separate. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 29, 2021. Dealers will replace the ABS HCU free of charge.
