Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2020-2021 Vengeance trailers (models VGF351A13-81, VGF371A13-81, VGF383V16-81, and VGF4007V-81) due to a spacing defect in the fifth-wheel landing legs.

The landing legs are not being installed with the correct spacing relative to the brackets welded to the chassis. The spacing is currently 17 1/2 inches when it should be 17 3/4 inches. This improper spacing can prevent the fifth wheel from being properly seated on the landing leg, allowing it to slip down and potentially puncture the trailer floor. A punctured floor can increase the risk of injury to occupants.

Forest River began this recall on August 14, 2020. Dealers will correct the landing leg spacing free of charge.
