The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler may crack, allowing pre-heated vaporized coolant to enter the EGR system. This mixture may combust inside the intake manifold, which can increase the risk of a fire.

Dealers will replace the EGR cooler and inspect and, as necessary, replace the intake manifold, free of charge. The recall began April 16, 2020. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
