Airstream Recalls 2015-2016 Interstate Models Due to Wiring Fire Risk

The affected vehicles were manufactured between July 11, 2014, and September 1, 2015, for the Grand Tour Extended, and between November 21, 2014, and September 1, 2015, for the Lounge Extended. A total of 564 vehicles are included in this recall.

The recall addresses electrical wiring connections that may not have been properly tightened and an interior wiring harness grounding wire that may have been installed incorrectly. If the electrical connections are loose or the ground wire is located incorrectly, the wiring may overheat, which increases the risk of a fire.

Airstream will notify owners, and dealers will tighten all of the wiring connections and relocate the wiring harness ground wire free of charge. The recall began on November 12, 2015.
