These units are equipped with a newly designed motor controller component. The same component was also installed as a service part replacement on TMZ 34/19 and TMZ 50 units between April 13, 2011, and July 13, 2011.
The defect involves the motor controller, which can fail. According to the recall notice, failure of this component can result in a fire. The safety recall began on August 2, 2011.
