These motors are used in the preparation of acid concentrate for hemodialysis. The recall covers all 132 Gallon Granuflo Dissolution Units and 132 Gallon Dry Acid Dissolution Units equipped with the H218 Motor and Modified H218 Mixer Motors.
The recall was initiated because the dissolution units and replacement motor units do not provide full thermal protection for both the Main and Starter coils. This defect results in the generation of smoke and/or potentially leads to fire.
The affected products were distributed nationwide. Users should stop using the affected motors and contact the recalling firm for further instructions.
