The recall involves 62,229 cases of products containing Roasted Salted Sunflower Kernels and/or Roasted Unsalted Sunflower Kernels.

The recall was initiated after Sunopta, an ingredient supplier, notified Eillien's Candies that the sunflower kernels used in these products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The affected products were distributed in Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin.

To date, there have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products. Consumers should check their pantries for the specific products and best-by dates listed in the official recall notice and dispose of them or return them to the place of purchase.
