Aurora Products, Inc. is voluntarily recalling approximately 8,362.4 units of Roasted Salt Mixed Nuts in various package sizes, including plastic pouches, tubs, cups, and gift bags. The recall is being conducted because the product may be contaminated with Salmonella. The affected products include items sold under the Aurora brand as well as private label brands such as Belmont Market, Food Emporium, Gauls Market, Giant, Martins Food, Stop&Shop, Ernest Klein, Harvest Co Op Market, Hurley Ridge, Palmers Market, Wild Acorns, Wild By Nature, and Gourmet Garage.
The recalled products were shipped to distributors in New York, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, California, Maryland, Maine, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania, as well as nationwide through retail stores. The products were also distributed to Winners, HomeSense, and Marshalls stores in Canada and to Bermuda. The best if used by dates for the affected items range from November 18, 2015, to December 19, 2015.
Consumers who have purchased these products should stop using them and return them to the place of purchase for a refund or dispose of them. The recall was initiated by the firm and was later terminated by the FDA.
