The gloves are black, available in sizes XS through 3XL, and feature "ski-doo" or "can-am" branding on the pointer finger and wrist band. The recalled product codes are 446247 for Can-Am gloves, 446248 for Ski-Doo gloves, and 4880580001 for the batteries. Approximately 450 units were sold in the U.S. and 1,200 in Canada between August 2013 and February 2014.

The lithium-ion rechargeable battery packs located in the wrist pouch of the gloves can overheat, posing a fire hazard. BRP has received three reports of batteries overheating while charging, two in Canada and one in the United States. In two of these incidents, minor property damage occurred. No injuries have been reported.

Consumers should immediately disconnect all battery packs from electrical connections and remove the batteries. They should avoid charging the packs and contact an authorized dealership or BRP directly for a full refund. Customers may keep the gloves. A full reimbursement of up to $199.99 plus taxes is offered for the returned charger and two battery packs, and up to $49.99 plus taxes for two additional battery packs.
