Good Earth Rechargeable Integrated Lights Recalled for Fire and Burn Hazards
Good Earth Lighting is recalling more than 1.2 million rechargeable integrated lights whose lithium-ion batteries can overheat and ignite the plastic housing, posing fire and burn hazards. One death has been reported.

Good Earth Lighting Inc. is recalling more than 1.2 million rechargeable integrated lights with model numbers starting with RE1122, RE1145, RE1362, and RE1250. The lights' lithium-ion batteries can overheat and ignite the light's plastic housing, creating fire and burn hazards to consumers.
The recalled lights measure approximately 12 inches long and are sold in packages of one or two units in various colors, including white, silver, almond, black, and rose gold. They were sold with a charging cable and with or without a remote control and/or power adapter. The lights were sold nationwide through hardware and home improvement stores including Lowe's, Ace Hardware, Meijer, and Menards, as well as online at Goodearthlighting.com, Amazon.com, Lowes.com, and QVC from October 2017 through January 2024 for approximately $20 for a single unit and $35 for a bundle. About 37,800 lights were also sold in Canada.
One customer has died, and another was treated for smoke inhalation when the product overheated and caused a fire in their home. Good Earth Lighting is aware of nine additional reports of lights overheating, including six that resulted in fires and property damage.
