Children's Bathrobes Recalled for Flammability Standard Violation

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: The bathrobes fail to meet federal flammability standards for children's sleepwear, creating a risk of burn injuries. No illnesses or injuries have been reported, but the hazard is documented and the product poses a direct risk to a vulnerable population (children).

Plain-English summary

Ekouaer has recalled approximately 9,200 children's bathrobes due to failure to meet federal flammability standards for children's sleepwear. The bathrobes, made of 65% cotton and 35% polyester, were sold in short-sleeve and long-sleeve styles in various colors and sizes (110, 120, 130, 140, and 150).

The bathrobes were sold exclusively online at Amazon.com between March 2020 and July 2021 for prices ranging from $19 to $38. Consumers who purchased these items should immediately remove them from children and contact Ekouaer for a full refund.

To receive a refund, consumers must destroy the garment by cutting it in half, send a photo of the destroyed garment to Ekouaer, and upon receipt of the photo will receive a full refund of the purchase price. Ekouaer and Amazon will contact all known purchasers.
