Kimpex Snowmobile Ski Kits Recalled for Detachment Hazard and Crash Risk

Kimpex ski kits for snowmobiles can detach from the vehicle, posing a crash hazard and risk of serious injury. No injuries have been reported to date.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: The recall involves actual ski detachment incidents (2 reported with skis falling off), creating a crash hazard and serious injury risk. However, no injuries or deaths have been reported. This matches the rubric criterion for risk-of-harm products where injury has not yet been reported.
