Forever 21 Children's Pajamas Recalled for Flammability Violations

Forever 21 recalled about 24,700 children's pajamas sold nationwide from November 2023 through November 2024 due to flammability violations. The pajamas don't meet federal safety standards for children's sleepwear and pose a burn injury risk.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: No injuries have been reported. The hazard is a flammability violation posing a theoretical risk of burn injuries to children. Per the rubric, risk-of-harm products where injury has not yet been reported score 3 (High).

Plain-English summary

Forever 21 recalled approximately 24,700 children's pajamas in 20 different styles, including eight pant styles, three short styles, and nine two-piece sets. The pajamas were sold in children's sizes 5/6, 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, and 13/14, in various colors and patterns (including Minnie Mouse, Hello Kitty, Mickey Mouse, and other licensed designs).

The pajamas violate federal flammability regulations for children's sleepwear. The recalled items do not meet the required fire-resistance standards and pose a risk of burn injuries to children.

The pajamas were sold exclusively through Forever 21 stores nationwide and online at forever21.com between November 2023 and November 2024 for prices between $5 and $40. Items were manufactured in China, Hong Kong, and Vietnam.

Consumers should stop using the recalled pajamas immediately and contact Forever 21 for a full refund. Forever 21 requires consumers to destroy the pajamas by cutting the top and bottom pieces in half, then send a photo of the destroyed pajamas to [email protected]. Consumers can contact Forever 21 at 1-888-219-4074 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT, Monday through Sunday), by email at [email protected], or online at forever21.com/recall.
